Announcement of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac
Uniform Mortgage-Backed Security (UMBS)

Effective June 3, 2019, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will begin to issue a new, common security (UMBS) and will replace the current offerings of Freddie Mac 45 day Gold securities. Members will have the option to convert eligible holdings of Freddie Mac 45 day Gold CUSIPs to a new UMBS CUSIP (see Freddie Mac site for complete listing of eligible CUSIPS).
