Supervising Accountant

Function:
- Take a leadership role in system design and implementation projects, particularly those closely related to financial reporting
- Preparation of financial information and reports to the Office of Finance. Implement enhanced reporting as specified by the FHFA
- Present financial information to the CFO and other members of the Executive Team, as required
- Actively provide assistance to co-workers when directed or requested
- Prepare monthly letter and schedules for submission to Board of Directors
- Understand new accounting pronouncements and implement operationally
- Monitor, understand and implement FHFA regulations pertaining to financial reporting
- Prepare year-end financial statements and related footnotes
- Work with the outside auditors, FHFA examiners and Internal Auditors
- Design and implement financial reports to management
Requirements:

* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong computer skills
* Must be results oriented
* Ability to multitask and work independently - Education
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a CPA is preferred but not required - Experience
* Minimum three years experience in financial services industry
* Experience in preparation of financial statements, footnotes, and related analyses are highly desirable
